The Swedish Film Institute does not conduct any film import or distribution of its own. On the other hand, we do allocate funding to distributors in the Swedish market for the launch of Swedish feature films, the launch of imported quality films and the distribution of Swedish short and documentary films.
The Film Institute allocates annually-based project funding to a limited number of quality film distributors of repute. In addition, all distributors in the Swedish market can apply for funding for the launch of individual Swedish or imported quality films.
