Prior to joining the Film Institute, Malin was a business controller for Parks & Resorts, an organization which runs many of Sweden's best-known tourist attractions. For six years before that she was head of finance at Cirkus Cirkör, doubling up for three years as managing director. Earlier in her career she worked for the Swedish International Development Agency in Tanzania.
A graduate economist who undertook her studies in Sundsvall and in London, Malin has also worked in Swedish local government and for Absolut Vodka on international financial issues and development.
